Evonik DRIVERON® MTBE Liquid

Material Notes:	CAS No: 1634-04-4 Methyl-tert-butyl ether/MTBE is a highly flammable, non auto oxidizable, clear, colorless liquid of low viscosity with a characteristic terpene-like odor. It is miscible with organic solvents in all ratios, partly miscible with water. MTBE is chemically stable in alkaline medium as well as in the presence of weak acids, air and oxygen. DRIVERON is classified as highly flammable and skin irritant. Application: DRIVERON is commercially used as a gasoline-octane enhancer for Otto-motor engines replacing formerly used organo-lead compounds. Information provided by Evonik
