Thermal Ceramics Cerablanket Blanket Strip
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: Thermal Ceramics Kaowool® Strip products are cut from either Kaowool Blanket, Blanket S, Cerablanket®, or Cerachem® Blanket. These products are available in many forms and lengths depending upon the application. They have low thermal conductivity, low heat storage capacity, and are extremely resistant to thermal shock.

Blanket strip products are highly efficient insulators. These products have low shot content which allows more usable fiber for each insulating dollar. Blanket strip products have longer fibers which give them high tensile strength and resiliency to withstand vibration and physical abuse. Blanket strip products are self-supporting and will not separate, sag, or settle.

Blanket strips are available in a wide variety of widths, thicknesses, densities, and chemistries. This allows the user to select the proper product form for an application with a minimum of scrap and labor to install the strip. Blanket strip products have a wide variety of uses including packing for modules, expansion joints, and gaskets.

Features:

  • Available in a wide variety of widths, thicknesses, and densities
  • Available in all Blanket compositions
  • Applications:

  • Expansion joints
  • High-temperature filtration
