Material Notes: Microtherm® granules for high temperature are a pourable microporous insulation with flow characteristics that make them ideal for the filling of closed objects of complex shape. Microtherm® granules for high temperature offer microporous insulation performance for applications where conventional insulation products simply cannot be used.
    Properties
  • Formulation based on opacified silica.
  • Capable of continuous exposure to 1000 °C (1832 °F).
  • Up to 3 or 4 times more thermally efficient at high temperatures than conventional insulations.
  • Suitable for automated feeding of complex shapes
  • Environmentally safe.
  • Free of harmful respirable fibers.
    Applications
  • Small fuel cells and reformers.
  • Void insulation in furnaces, burners and refractory systems.
  • Void insulation for domestic appliances.
  • Any high temperature application where insulation in the form of conventional panel or block cannot be used.
