Tra-Con Tra-Bond 2122 Metal Repair Aluminum Epoxy Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Filled/Reinforced Thermoset

Material Notes: TRA-BOND 2122 is a versatile aluminum metal filled epoxy formulation developed for modern industrial casting, bonding and repair applications where a strong aluminum-like adhesive is required. This two-part 100% reactive epoxy system is easy to use as it bonds readily to aluminum and other non-ferrous and ferrous materials, to wood, ceramics, glass, concrete and to many plastics. It has low shrinkage, and cures fairly rapidly to a hard, tough solid. Fully cured TRA-BOND 2122 is strong and durable, and is further resistant to mild acids and alkalis, water, salts and salt solutions, petroleum solvents, lubricating oils, gasoline, jet fuels, alcohol and many other organic and inorganic compounds. It is a non-magnetic electrical insulator, does not rust, and can be drilled, sawed, cut and machined with regular metal working tools. TYPICAL REPAIR APPLICATIONS: molds, dies, fixtures, plumbing, automotive castings, aircraft, marine, salvage, ships, jigs, tool repair, small part manufacturing.
