Mode of action and advantages: ADD-MAX 182 is a proprietary masterbatch specially designed to improve fiber spinning of Polyamide 6 and 6,6 staple fibers on short-spin spinning lines. ADD-MAX 182 contains a highly effective additive, which lowers the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing. It reduces the friction between the polymer melt and internal metal surface of the processing equipment which is helpful to process Polyamides and to increase the production efficiency. ADD-MAX 182 contains a special efficiency additive that is compatible with Polyamides. No decolourisation will occur in neutral and light colors.

Advantages: Wider operating window of the filament- or staple fiber spinning line; Polymer friction in the extruder and die will be reduced, allowing lower extrusion temperatures, higher line speeds and less fiber breakages in the melt phase (cooling zone). Also power consumption is likely reduced. An output increase might be possible especially for fine staple fiber production (1 – 10 dtex) but only when extruder capacity is available and when speed of the last godet can be increased; Enhances manufacturing efficiency for neutral- and dark colored fine fiber staple fibers; Less energy consumption in general; Less degradation of Polyamide during the extrusion process; A wider operating window can allow process optimization to obtain better mechanical properties of the fibers; Faster color changes, reduction of waste and less production interruptions; Non-sticking pellets, dust free dosing; Safe and easy handling, ADD-MAX 182 does not require drying before use.
