Chesterton ARC 982 100% Novolac acid resistant coating  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced polymer composite formulated to protect equipment from extreme chemical attack and corrosion. A low viscosity composite that is applied by brush, squeegee, or a plural component sprayer system. ARC 982 may be applied at a minimum thickness of 250 microns (10 mils) per coat. A two-coat application of ARC 982 provides protection from concentrated acids, alkailes, and solvents. The cured composite provides outstanding chemical resistance with a high gloss finish.

Benefits:

  • Excellent resistance to a wide variety of concentrated acids such as sulfuric acid up to 98% and fluctuating chemical environments.
  • ARC 982 outlasts rubber and other traditional lining materials as it is resistant to aging and embrittlement
  • Tough resin structure resists thermal-mechanical shock
  • Outstanding adhesion results in reliable performance with no under film corrosion
  • Holiday testable per NACE RP0188

Suggested Uses:

  • Chemical Storage Tanks
  • Exhaust Gas Ductwork
  • Impellers
  • Pump Casings
  • Structural Steel
  • Valves
  • Chimneys and Stacks
  • Fans and Housings
