LyondellBasell Petrothene® GA502023 Linear Low Density Polyethylene
Categories: Polymer; Film; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Linear Low Density (LLDPE); Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), Film Grade

Material Notes: Applications
The PETROTHENE GA 502 series of resins are pelletized linear low density polyethylene for film extrusion applications requiring excellent drawdown and toughness. These pelletized products offer excellent additive homogeneity, require no transfer equipment modifications and facilitate clean and safe storage and handling. They can be used in either blown or cast film extrusion. GA 502-024 is specifically formulated with extra antioxidant for use in cast film. It contains no other additives.

Processing Techniques
GA 502 series resins exhibit excellent drawdown characteristics. Recommended conditions are 375-425°F melt temperature and a 1.5-3.0:1 blow-up ratio. Using proper techniques, these products can readily be drawn below .5 mil at optimum production rates.

This product is from the former Equistar product line.
