| Characterization: Baytec AS is a elastomeric spray system for acoustics. Properties / Applications: Baytec AS is a system for producing a solid, polyurethane elastomer which is processed on two component spray equipment and when filled with various mineral fillers (such as barium sulfate), can be used as the mass layer for NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) applications. The Baytec AS system is a gray pigmented system. Fillers may be incorporated at levels as high as 80%. Baytec AS is a formulated PUR system supplied as two reactive liquid components. Component A is primarily a polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI). Component B is a blend of polyether polyols and additives. As with any product, use of Baytec AS system in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
