Material Notes: Porous wall hollow microspheres provide a porous shell for introduction or release of liquids. The porous shells have a microstructure similar to Vycor and are composed of open channels from the outer shell to the inner shell. The porous wall hollow microspheres are ~98% porous with pore sizes ranging from 100Å to 3000Å and a shell thickness of ~1µm. Typical applications of GL1756 spheres including: filtration, waste remediation, drug delivery, batteries, a variety of biological diagnostic uses, and bone regeneration to name a few.
