Master Bond Supreme 42HT-2 Toughened Epoxy Resists Thermal Cycling
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Description: Master Bond Supreme 42HT-2 is a solvent-free, toughened, two part epoxy system featuring heat and chemical resistance. It has good thermal cycling capabilities and is ideal for bonding, sealing and encapsulating dissimilar substrates. Supreme 42HT-2 has a mix ratio of 100 to 40 by weight or 100 to 50 by volume. It adheres well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, many plastics, ceramics and glass. It is serviceable from -65°F to +425°F. The color of Part A is tan to brown and the color of Part B is amber. The cured epoxy has good electrical insulation properties. Most noteworthy, it will resist a wide variety of chemicals including many acids, bases, solvents, fuels and oils. It can be used in many industries including aerospace, electronic, chemical, OEM and many other fields. To optimize its product properties, the best cure schedule for Supreme 42HT-2 is overnight at room temperature followed by a few hours at 150-200°F. A paste, non-drip version called Supreme 42HT-2ND2 is also available. Additionally, this product will have only minimal flow if heat is added during curing.

Product Advantages:

  • Non-critical mix ratio: 100 to 40 by weight and 100 to 50 by volume
