Eastman Cristal™ 10101 Microfiber  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer

Material Notes: Product Description: Cyphrex™ 10101 is a wet pulp polyester microfiber for use in wet laid nonwovens. Cyphrex™ 10101 is a less than 0.4 denier fiber with a flat or ribbon shaped cross section and a nominal width of 18 microns, a nominal thickness of 2.5 microns, and a cut length of 1.5mm. Cyphrex™ 10101 enables manufacturers to produce exceptionally uniform sheets that are lightweight and remarkably strong. The flat fibers present a novel and consistent cross section that can offer not only significant functional benefits to the nonwovens producer but also much improved processability compared with other synthetic fibers. Cyphrex™ 10101 integrates easily into existing wetlaid processes, taking media design possibilities to the next level. Unlike many other synthetic fibers, Cyphrex™ microfiber pulps are also compatible with other fiber materials such as cellulosics and glass. Cyphrex™ 10101 is another example of how Eastman is dedicated to keeping pace with your changing needs — and helping you think differently about innovative fibers for wetlaid processing.
