Sandvik Kanthal AE Resistance Wire

Material Notes: KANTHAL AE has been developed for conditions of extreme surface loads in fine wire dimensions. It contains trace elements which provide an extremely well adhering oxide with good emissivity properties. KANTHAL AE has exceptional form stability and life in spirals with large coil to wire diameter ratio.

Typical applications for KANTHAL AE are in fast response elements for ceramic glass top hobs and quartz tube heaters. Due to the dense and well adhering oxide, that forms on Kanthal AE, it is also suitable for applications using close wound coils.
