Lubrizol Thermedics™ Pellethane® 2363-80AE Polyurethane Elastomer, Ether Based  (Unverified Data**)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE; Polyurethane, TP; Thermoplastic Polyurethane, Elastomer, Ether Grade

Material Notes: PELLETHANE® 2363-80AE elastomer is a polytetramethylene glycol based polyurethane elastomer used in healthcare applications. Its outstanding properties include superior resilience, low temperature properties, resistance to microorganisms, low extractables, excellent hydrolytic stability, and exceptionally smooth surfaces. It allows sterilization by dry heat, ethylene oxide or gamma radiation. This resin (and other TPUs) should not be sterilized by use of pressurized steam. Its typical applications include catheter components, tensioning ligatures, tubing, connectors and fittings. USP Class VI test data for biocompatibility is available for 2363 series resins.

Data provided by Dow Chemical.

Lubrizol acquired the Pellethane product line from Dow in 2009.
