LG Chemical SBR 1500 High Acrylonitrile Polymer
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE)

Material Notes: Description: NSBR 1500 is a cold polymerized styrene-butadiene copolymer with staining stabilizer. The cold polymerized SBR exhibits better abrasion, higher tensile strength and higher modulus than the hot polymerized SBR. SBR 1500 has more tack than other SBR due to the rosin acid emulsifying system in polymerization. This characteristic provides easier processing properties and better cohesion between rubber to rubber interface. However, due to the staining stabilizer, it can be used only in applications where color is of secondary importance.

Applications: SB 1500 can be used to tire, camelback, molded and extruded industrial goods and dark colored products where staining and color are not limiting factors.
