Silver-flo™ 44 is a cadmium free silver brazing filler metal. It exhibits moderate brazing characteristics being a reasonable gap filling and fillet forming alloy. This alloy is suitable for seawater applications where it is resistant to dezincification. Silver-flo™ 44 has been used in the European shipbuilding industry and in marine applications where the brazed joints have excellent mechanical properties. The optimum joint gap for this alloy at brazing temperature is normally 0.075-0.2mm. This filler metal can be used to join all the common engineering materials (excluding aluminum) – such as copper, copper alloys (including, brasses, bronzes, gun metal, nickel silvers, aluminum bronze, copper nickel) and steel (including, mild, carbon, tool steel, stainless steels and low alloy steel).
