Master Bond Supreme 46HT-2 Toughened, High Shear and Peel Strength Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Description: Master Bond Supreme 46HT-2 is a two component epoxy adhesive featuring an attractive balance of good shear and peel strengths for high performance structural bonding and coating suitable for applications where long term exposure to temperatures from -100°F to +500°F is required. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. Supreme 46HT-2 is specially formulated to withstand rigorous thermal cycling and for bonding dissimilar substrates. The system cures rapidly at elevated temperatures at a minimum of 250°F. The mix ratio is 100 to 30-35 by weight. Unlike many other epoxy compounds, these strengths are relatively insensitive to small changes in the mix ratio. Supreme 46HT-2 can be applied by brushing or rolling. It produces durable, high strength, tough bonds which are resistant to thermal cycling as well as a wide variety of chemicals including water, many acids, bases, solvents, fuels and oils. Supreme 46HT-2 bonds well to most metals, ceramics, plastics and glass. It has excellent electrical insulation properties. The color of Part A is tan and the color of Part B is brown. Supreme 46HT-2 is widely used in aerospace, electronic, OEM and chemical/processing applications. A non-drip version called Supreme 46HT-2ND2 is also available that will not flow during cure. Both versions of this product are also readily available in black.

Product Advantages:

  • Convenient mixing: product properties relatively unaffected by small changes in mix ratio.
  • Easy application: contact pressure only required for cure, adhesive spreads evenly and smoothly.
  • Convenient cure schedules: Long pot life at room temperature. Requires an elevated temperature cure at 250°F minimum.
  • High bonding strength to similar and dissimilar substrates with superior peel strength.
  • Good durability, thermal shock and cycling capabilities.
  • 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.
  • Excellent resistance to many acids, bases, solvents, fuels and petrochemicals.
  • Good electrical insulation properties.
