Momentive Performance Materials Silopren Electro 1800 Silicone rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber

Material Notes: The Silopren Electro 1700 and 1800 are one-component heat curable rubber materials for making elastomers (HCE) with a hardness of 70 and 77 Shore A. These silicone rubbers are based on a platinum cure system, especially developed for the manufacture of housing and weather sheds for all kinds of insulators.

Features: One-component, ready to use. Fast vulcanization/addition curing system. Outstanding ageing behavior and weather resistance. Fast hydrophobic transfer and hydrophobic recovery. Excellent dielectric behavior over a wide range of temperatures. Very good tracking resistance. Shelf life of 3 months from date of manufacturing.
