Material Notes: Product Description: Akrochem 2,5 TRI-45C is a dispersion of (2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-Di(t-butylperoxy)Hexyne-3) on calcium carbonate for use as a cross-linking agent for synthetic and natural rubbers as well as plastic resins such as polyethylene.

Applications: Akrochem 2,5 TRI-45C peroxide is used as a catalyst for cross-linking a variety of synthetic rubbers including EPR, EPDM, EVA, NBR, polychloroprene, PVC, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, SBR, polyurethane and silicone. 2,5 TRI-45C peroxide is a low odor catalyst. Typical dosages range from 1.0 to 10.0 phr depending on polymer type and filler loadings. 2,5 TRI-45C provides compounders with the maximum scorch safety in peroxide cured materials. As a result, cure times will be longer unless curing temperatures are raised to compensate.
