Material Notes: Product Description: Akrochem PEG 8000 is a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol used as activator and lubricant in mineral filled rubber compounds.

Application: Akrochem PEG 8000 may be used to:

  • activate silicas and clays to improve state and rate of cure.
  • improve flow for extrusion of all EPDM compounds (black or non-black)
  • provide release from warm metal surfaces (internal mixers, mills calendar rolls, extruder dies, and molds).
  • promote microwave reception in non-black compounds.
  • reduce bloom of accelerators and other polar materials from EPDM.
