| Description: SILCOLAPSE® 853 is an organofunctional silicone defoamer, specially designed for polar mediums, such like fatty esters, alcohols, ketones, amides or azo-compounds. Applications: - Alcohol distillation, for instance methanol–glycerol distillation in biodiesel manufacture.
- Polar solvent distillation.
- Solvent antifoaming.
Advantages:- Distillation: SILCOLAPSE® 853 will control the foam in the distillation column, by reducing the gas pressure drop, and avoiding any flooding. It will remain in the heavier fraction.
- Low viscosity defoamer.
- SILCOLAPSE® 853 can be use as provided, without any dilution.
