Application: SILFOAM® SE 2 is used in different fields, including cosmetic and food contact applications. SILFOAM® SE 2 contains broad-spectrum, physiologically safe active ingredients based on polydimethylsiloxane / silica it may be widely used for controlling foam in systems and products which themselves might come into indirect contact with foodstuffs, such as cleaners for food containers, conveyor systems, storage surfaces. Its efficient emulsifier system supports the product in other areas as well, such as the manufacture of dispersions for food applications, agrochemical formulations, biotechnological processes, the production of packing materials and their coatings as well as wastewater treatment from foodstuffs production. Moreover, SILFOAM® SE 2 readily lends itself to use for effective foam control in alcohol fermentation processes in which the alcoholic fraction is distilled off afterwards.
