Material Notes: Solprene 580 is a 69/31 solution-polymerized butadiene/styrene thermoplastic copolymer with a linear structure. With this new Solprene 580, Dynasol expands the range of SBS grades recommended for asphalt modification applications. Due to its unique molecular structure, Solprene 580 offers the following advantages over traditional polymers:
  • High compatibility with asphalt.
  • Short dissolution time in asphalt.
  • Lower viscosity for the final asphalt mix.
  • Better thermal stability for the final mix.
