Taiwan PU APU-20-80J Terpene Phenolic Resin
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Key features:
  • Softening point (Ring & Ball): 120-130?
  • Widely ranged solubility
  • Widely ranged compatibility
  • Enhance the adhesion strength
  • Increase the heat resistance
Introduction: Terpene phenolic resin for adhesive APU-20-80J is a light colored terpene phenolic resin and has a high softening point and used as a tackifier for chloroprene adhesive and hot-melt adhesives etc. As this resin has a narrow molecular weight distribution and some polar group, it is compatible with various kinds of elastomers, resins, and soluble in various kinds of solvents. Terpene phenolic resin for adhesive APU-20-80J is useful especially for a grafted polychloroprene adhesive which is mainly used for bonding PVC leather, since they are possibly reactive to cross-linking agent

Application: Printing coating agents, adhesive tackifier, printing ink, paint, synthetic leather and PVC leather to enhance the adhesive viscosity.

Characteristics:

  • 1. Widely ranged compatibility
  • 2. Impart to solvent type adhesive longer tackiness retention time and excellent phasing resistance
  • 3. Widely ranged solubility
  • 4. Increase adhesion strength
  • 5. Increase heat resistance
