| Mayco Base CF-95 is a low odor, oil soluble extreme pressure additive designed to replace chlorine in heavyduty applications. Such applications include gun drilling, grinding, deep hole drilling, and wire drawing, as well as all stainless operations. Because Mayco Base CF-95 contains active sulfur, it is not recommended for use in products destined for applications on any yellow metal (copper, brass or bronze automatic screw machines It is recommended to replace chlorine in a cutting oil on a one-for-one basis with Mayco Base CF-95. An example would be 4% of a 50% chlorinated paraffin in a cutting oil, yielding a total of 2% chlorine would be replaced by 2% of Mayco Base CF-95. Successful replacements of up to 20% chlorine have been achieved in cutting oils. Mayco Base CF-95 is not recommended for use in water dilutable product formulations (soluble oils, semisynthetic, and synthetic fluids). In those types of products, Mayfree 133 would be the better choice. Also, the selection and incorporation of any additional fatty materials must be carefully made.
