Silopren LSR 4655 SL cures quickly to form a lubricious surface. Silopren LSR 4655 SL is an excellent candidate to consider for medical device applications such as needle-free access valves, O-rings, stoppers, and other parts requiring assembly. Silopren LSR 4655 SL is a 55 durometer, self-lubricating liquid silicone rubber that has been tested to USP Class VI and ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards. Its design includes a delayed lubricant surface bloom which enables efficient part molding without the mold-fouling seen with other self-lubricating materials. Silopren LSR 4655 SL has a high slip surface as evidenced by a low coefficient of friction after molding, enabling automated assembly of molded components and devices. Silopren LSR 4655 SL can also be formulated to a wide variety of hardnesses via the custom compounding center to meet specific end use requirements.
