Tra-Con Tra-Cast FS407 Low Viscosity High Temperature Epoxy Casting System
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: TRA-CAST FS407 is a low viscosity, solvent-free epoxy casting system recommended for rigid industrial laminating, electrical potting and transformer or coil embedding applications that require the effective combination of superior flow, good adhesion and excellent mechanical and electrical properties over a wide temperature range. This easy-to-use epoxy system has good wetting properties and develops excellent adhesion to glass, metals, ceramics, laminates and other high temperature resistant products. A final 90°C cure step is REQUIRED for complete cure. The fully cured casting system maintains a high volume resistivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion and good dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. In addition, its resistance to electrolysis, galvanic action and leakage offers protection against water, weather, gases and vapors, petroleum lubricants, fuels, salt solutions, mild acids, alkalis and many other organic and inorganic materials. An additional post-cure of 4 hours at 125°C is recommended when application temperatures higher than 125°C are anticipated.
