Sandvik Bioline 4C27A Precision Wire
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Stainless Steel

Material Notes: Sandvik Bioline 4C27A is a hardenable stainless chromium steel characterized by:
  • very good machinability
  • high wear resistance
  • good toughness
  • good corrosion resistance due to addition of molybdenum
  • Sandvik Bioline 4C27A is suitable for the manufacture of precision components like watch parts, measuring points, dental tools, precision instruments and drilled surgical needles. It is also used within the automotive industry for critical applications.

    Service temperature -50 to +100°C.

Prolonged service at elevated temperatures causes loss of corrosion resistance and hardness when used in the hardened and tempered condition.
