Röhm ACRYLITE® Heatresist hw55 Acrylic Molding Compound
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Acrylic (PMMA)

Material Notes: The ACRYLITE® Heatresist and ACRYMID® products are crystal-clear molding compounds offering higher heat deflection temperatures under load than other grades of ACRYLITE®.

ACRYLITE® Heatresist hw55: ACRYLITE® Heatresist hw55 is well suited for injection-molded technical parts that are subjected to high thermal stress. ACRYLITE® Heatresist hw55 is a copolymer based on methyl methacrylate (MMA) with co-monomer constituents. These provide a high heat deflection temperature under load for a PMMA molding compound, combined with high chemical resistance and ease of processing.

Information Provided by Evonik CYRO. The former Evonik Methacrylates business has been sold to Röhm (Roehm) GmbH.
