Morgan Advanced Ceramics Insulite 2500HS Thermal Ceramic

Material Notes: Bond type: hydraulic. Chamotte/Perlite. An extremely strong insulating concrete for service up to 1370°C (2500°F), designed for use in areas that require a combination of light weight and high strength. Particularly used in petrochemical stills and as heater lining and furnace doors, covers, kiln car tops, etc. conforms to ASTM Class R.

Applications:

  • Backup insulation in two component linings in petrochemical process units
  • Hot face lining in ductwork from waste heat recovery boilers and process units
  • Hydrogen or reducing atmosphere linings
  • Petrochemical applications, Furnace doors, covers and kiln car tops.
Features and Benefits:
  • Light weight and low thermal conductivity reduce both the quantity of heat storage and heat transfer producing significant savings in furnace fuel consumption.
  • Lower densities reduce the amount of supporting furnace steelwork required and provide more insulation with a thinner lining.
