ITW Plexus® MA830 Methacrylate Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Methacrylate; Methacrylate Adhesive

Material Notes: Plexus® MA830 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of metals without primers. In addition, MA830 does a superb job of bonding thermoplastic and composite assemblies with little or no surface preparation. Combined at a 10:1 ratio, MA830 has a working time of 4 to 6 minutes and achieves approximately 75% of ultimate strength in 15 to 25 minutes at 74°F (23°C). This product provides a unique combination of high strength, excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance, and superior toughness. Plexus MA830 is supplied in a ready-to-use to be dispensed as a non-sagging gel.

Excellentl resistance to: ? Hydrocarbons ? Acids and Bases (pH 3-10) ? Salt Solutions. Susceptible to: ? Polar Solvents ? Strong Acids and Bases. Recommended for: ? ABS ? Acrylics ? Aluminum ? FRP ? Gel coats ? PVC ? Polyesters (including DCPD modified) ? Steel (Exterior applications require the use of coatings or primers that inhibit oxidation of the steel.) ? Styrenics ? Urethanes (general) ? Vinyl Esters. Adhesive color: off white, uncured-room temperature. Activator color: gray or gray GB, uncured-room temperature.
