Material Notes: Characterization: Bayfit SA512 is a system for producing flexible polyurethane foam used as an acoustic countermeasure in various applications.

Properties / Applications: Bayfit SA512 is a system for producing flexible polyurethane foam used as an acoustic countermeasure in various applications including carpet backing, dash insulators, etc. This foam is black-pigmented and formulated to meet the necessary adhesive requirements between substrate materials and polyurethane foam, along with NAFTA OEM physical property specifications. This special formulation may be used with either open pour or closed pour mold filling techniques. Bayfit SA512 is available as a two-component polyurethane system from Covestro. As with any product, use of the Bayfit SA512 system in a given application must be tested (including field testing, etc.) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
