Lewatit® MonoPlus S 107 NS is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin with beads of a uniform size, based on a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. The extremely high monodispersity (uniformity coefficient: max 1.1) and low percentage of fines lead to lower pressure losses and best possible operating costs in desalination plants. Lewatit MonoPlus S 107 NS gives the filter bed special properties:- high flow rates during regeneration and loading
- a very good utilization of the total capacity
- a high usable capacity at a low consumption of regeneration chemicals
- a low requirement for rinse water
- a homogeneous throughput of regenerants, water and solutions, resulting in a uniformly trained work zone
- virtually linear pressure drop gradient across the entire bed height, so operation is possible at larger layer heights
