Thermal Ceramics BTU-GUE
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: Thermal Ceramics BTU-GUE is a wet bulk form of our BTU-BLOCK microporous product offering. BTU-GUE can be extruded into shape, trowel or hand placed into areas where other insulation forms cannot be installed. BTU-GUE requires no special curing or dry out schedule. The product can be air dried or dry time can be accelerated by applying heat to drive off water. As a microporous material, BTU-GUE is extremely thermally efficient making it the perfect insulation for applications where space and weight are critical factors. BTU-GUE can be used in combination with BTU-BLOCK Flexible to provide excellent backup insulation for glass feeder bowls. Sold as a Feeder Bowl Kit, this two component microporous system helps keep cold face temperatures at safe levels.

Features:

  • Extrudable form of microporous insulation
  • Extremely thermally efficient
  • Dries to 16 pcf density
  • Versatile placement options
  • Applications

  • Glass feeder bowl backup insulation
