Morgan Advanced Ceramics Insulite 2300VLI Thermal Ceramic
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide

Material Notes: Bond type: Hydraulic. Chamotte/Perlite. Insulite 2300 VLI is a 1260°C (2300°F) very low iron, lightweight castable which incorporates a high purity binder for applications where hydrogen or reducing atmospheres are present. Conforms to ASTM Class P & Q.

Features:

  • Light weight and low thermal conductivity reduce both the quantity of heat storage and heat transfer producing significant savings in furnace fuel consumption.
  • Lower densities reduce the amount of supporting furnace steelwork required and provide more insulation with a thinner lining.
Applications:
  • Back up insulation in ammonia production processes where hydrogen atmospheres are encountered
  • Back up insulation in secondary reformers in the ammonia production process
  • Controlled atmosphere applications
  • Petrochemical applications.
