Tisan TISESTER® Flame Retardant (V0). Heat Stabilized Polybutylene Terephthalate
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT); Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), Flame Retardant

Material Notes: TISESTER has a wide area of application in automotive, electric/electronics and durable goods industries. General Specifications include:
  • Excellent surface appearance
  • High corrosion and abrasion resistance
  • Excellent toughness
  • High temperature resistance
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Electrical isolation and arc resistance
  • High performance
  • Easy processability
  • Fast cycle time
Glass fiber reinforcement imparts high shrinkage resistance and impact resistance to TISESTER products, yielding improvements in thermal features as well. PBT is resistant against solvents, exhibits low shrinkage during shaping, and it is mechanically strong, heat resistant for temperatures up to 150°C, and can be reinforced for flame retardance. Tisester compounds display sufficient resistance against hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethers, acids, and alkali solvents.
