Solvay MTM® 82S-C Phenolic Resin Matrix

Material Notes: Description: MTM 82S-C is a controlled flow phenolic resin matrix that exhibits excellent fire, smoke and toxicity performance and has good mechanical properties. MTM82S-C can be supplied on a range of fabrics and fibers and is suitable for both monolithic and sandwich structures. MTM82S-C is suitable for mass transit applications, particularly rail interiors, where the operating temperature is within the range -55 to 80°C (-67 to 176°F)

  • 12 months storage at -18°C (0°F)
  • Curing between 80°C to 180°C (176°F to 356°F)
  • Maximum service temperature 80°C (176°F)
  • Excellent fire, smoke and toxicity performance
  • MTM82S-C prepreg is qualified to the following fire performance specifications:
    • BS 467 Part 6, BS 467 Part 7 and BS 6853 cat 1a
    • NF P 92-501 Rating M1 and NF F16-101 Rating F1
    • DIN 5501 Rating S4, SR2 and ST2
