Evonik BREAK-THRU® G 850 Surfactants

Material Notes: BREAK-THRU® G 850 is an amphoteric surfactant which enhances the efficacy of post-emergent herbicides, especially glyphosate.

Application: As a formulation ingredient, up to 150 g/l of BREAK-THRU® G 850 can be added to glyphosate. A maximum of 480 g a. e./l of the herbicide is possible. BREAK-THRU® G 850 is fully compatible with the IPA and K salt of glyphosate i.e. a homogeneous mixture without crystals is obtained showing storage stability at freezing and elevated temperatures. To reduce foam upon addition to the tank, manufacturer recommends adding BREAK-THRU® AF 9904 or 9903 to the formulation. While designed to be used in the formulation, BREAK-THRU® G 850 can also be applied as a tank mix adjuvant. With herbicides, the patented BREAK-THRU® G 850 allows the control of both grassy weeds and broad-leaved weeds. Its performance on glyphosate can be compared with ethoxylated tallow amines, yet, BREAK-THRU® G 850 is safer from a toxicological and ecotoxicological point of view.
