Colmant Coated Fabrics Natural Rubber Sheet
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE)

Material Notes: The natural rubber sheet comes from latex, an emulsion containing 60 to 80% water, which flows from the bark of different plant species (rubber). The rubber is located in small particles suspended in the latex, of which it represents 90% of the dry weight. It provides excellent mechanical properties.
  • The natural rubber sheet has good compression. It also provides fairly good resistance to water and non-mineral detergent acids. Limits: poor resistance to UV and hydrocarbon-based solvents (aliphatic and aromatic), oils or petroleum derivatives.

    Applications:

    • Automobile door seals
    • hoses
    • profiles for windows and doors
