Master Bond EP62-1BF Two component, lower viscosity epoxy system
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Long open time at room temperature
  • Cures well at moderate temperatures
  • Can be used for potting small components
  • Superb physical strength profile
Master Bond EP62-1BF is a two component epoxy system that has a very long working life at room temperature and requires curing at moderately elevated temperatures. It has a very forgiving 100 to 5 mix ratio by weight. The mixed compound has a very low viscosity and good flow. The working life of 100 grams is 12-24 hours at room temperature. There are a number of cure schedule options; 6-8 hours at 140-158°F [60-70°C], 60-70 minutes at 176- 212°F [80-100°C] or 20-30 minutes at 257°F [125°C]. To obtain optimum properties, post curing at 212-302°F [100- 150°C] for 3-5 hours is recommended. Upon curing with the optimum schedule EP62-1BF displays robust temperature resistance with a glass transition temperature ranging from 125-135°C. It is highly resistant to many aggressive chemicals including acids, bases, solvents and other chemicals, even at elevated temperatures. EP62-1BF is a dependable electrically insulating material. The service temperature range is -60°F to +400°F The color of Part A is clear and Part B is dark brown in color. It is well suited for many rigorous applications inaerospace, electronic and specialty OEM, among other industries, especially where the ability to withstand hostile chemicals is required.

Product Advantages:

  • Forgiving 100 to 5 mix ratio by weight
  • Very long working life
  • Protects against many aggressive chemicals, even at elevated temperatures
  • Versatile curing schedules
  • Good flow properties
  • Low shrinkage upon curing
