Thermal Ceramics Superwool 607 Max HM 12 Bulk
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: Superwool is designed from pure raw materials and specially processed to offer excellent performance in high temperature applications. Superwool offers an alternative to traditional solutions due to its exceptional properties of high refractoriness and excellent non-wetting characteristics in applications requiring direct contact with molten aluminum.

Superwool provides stability and resistance to chemical attack. Exceptions include hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalis (i.e. NaOH, KOH). Superwool is unaffected by incidental spills of oil or water. Thermal and physical properties are restored after drying.

Although Superwool’s basic fiber form offers an economical alternative for most applications, they can be engineered to meet the requirements of specific applications. Fiber diameter, shot content, fiber length and form can be altered as required to achieve desired properties for specific applications.
