Lewatit® K 1000 U SO4 is a strongly basic type-1 anion exchange resin with beads of a uniform size (monodisperse), especially developed for the extraction of uranium from process solutions containing sulfuric acid. The high degree of crosslinking of its polystyrene-DVB copolymer matrix results in a remarkable resistance towards osmotic and mechanical stress (attrition, abrasion) as it can occur during metal recovery processes. Due to its macroporous structure the resin is also characterized by excellent adsorption/desorption properties. Lewatit K 1000 U SO4 can be applied in:- the extraction of uranium in hydrometallurgical processes
- The removal of anionic heavy metals complexes form aqueous streams
- The recovery of noble metals, e.g chloro-, cyano or thiosulfato complexes
This includes the following hydrometallurgical process types:- heap, in-situ leaching
- Resin-in-pulp
