Lord Adhesives Thermoset™ EP-866 Epoxy Adhesive System
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: LORD Thermoset EP-866 adhesive is a two-component epoxy adhesive which may be used in varying proportions of resin to hardener to provide optimum properties for particular applications. Higher levels of hardener produce cured products of increased flexibility.

Features: Rigidity of bond and resulting cured properties of the two-component epoxy system are dependent on the mix proportions used. Rigid Bond - 2:1 Mix Ratio (resin to hardener, by weight) bonds metal, glass, ceramic and most plastics. cured system provides good resistance to chemicals. can be used in applications that experience temperatures of 250°C. Semi-Rigid Bond - 1:1 Mix Ratio (resin to hardener, by weight) cured system provides excellent impact and thermal shock resistance. provides higher tensile shear strength. Flexible Bond - 1:2 Mix Ratio (resin to hardener, by weight) bonds hard rubber, Teflon® and treated polyethylene. provides increased flexibility, percent of elongation and peel strength.
