Nearly insoluble in water, ALKAMIDE C-212 disperse readily to form an opaque, pearlescent suspension at 5% concentration. Nonionic or anionic surfactants solubilize the product readily. It is an exceptional foam builder in shampoo and bubble bath formulations in which it functions as a stabilizer and thickening agent.
