Chesterton 274 Industrial Degreaser

Material Notes: Description: Chesterton® 274 Industrial Degreaser is an industrial strength, hard surface degreaser which will dissolve grease, oil, tar and other similar water insoluble soils generally encountered in industrial and marine environments. Industrial Degreaser is designed to be used as received and may be applied by spray, brush or dipping. It is commonly used in commercial parts washers to replace more hazardous solvents. Chesterton 274 Industrial Degreaser has a high flash point and low aromatic content. It offers greatly improved safely compared to conventional petroleum based degreasers.

Suggested Uses:

  • Replacement for kerosene, mineral spirits, chlorinated solvents and naphtha based cleaners and degreasers
  • Use in recirculating and agitated parts washers and dip tanks
  • Degrease surfaces prior to coating
  • Clean equipment before disassembly for maintenance, repair, or machining
  • Remove process oils and other contaminates from in process parts
  • Applications can be found in metal production operations, paint ships, maintenance departments, boiler rooms, repair shops, vehicle and ship yards, among others
  • Cleans non-energized electrical equipment.
