LyondellBasell Hifax 7430 XEP Thermoplastic Polyolefin
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polypropylene (PP); Polypropylene, Molded

Material Notes: Hifax polypropylene resins based on the Catalloy process are used in applications such as building and construction (e.g., single-ply roofing), industrial applications (e.g., wire and cable), and automotive industries.  Hifax priovides good processability, excellent impact resistance, a broad range of stiffness from very soft to rigid products, high temperature resistance and low linear coefficient of thermal expansion.

Hifax 7430 XEP is a reactor TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) manufactured using LyondellBasell’ s proprietary Catalloy process technology. It is a high melt flow, medium-high flexural modulus, highly crystalline copolymer with good balance of impact and stiffness. It is primarily used in interior trim applications requiring low temperature high speed impact performance.  It is also used as a component in compounded materials for automotive and industrial applications.  The grade is available in natural pellet form. Applications: Exterior Automotive Applications, Interior Automotive Applications.
