Material Notes:	Viton® VTR-8500 is a developmental peroxide cured polymer intended to be an upgrade to Viton® GLT. VTR-8500 utilizes an Advanced Polymer Architecture technology which includes a new peroxide cure site along with an optimized molecular weight distribution designed to deliver a polymer which: Cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure Shows improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to GLT and GLT 305 Shows improved mold flow, less shear sensitivity, and lower extruder die swell for a ~65 Mooney FKM Shows excellent physical properties with high elongation in either the original or aging tests Shows similar to improved heat, fluids, and low temperature resistance compared to GLT Shows excellent compression set resistance with little (2 hr at 232°C ) or no postcure It is recommended if mixing in an internal mixer to use at least a 70% load factor. The recommended process aid for VTR-8500 is 0.5 phr of Armeen® 18D. Information provided by manufacturer.
