Georgia Gulf Suprel® SVA 9812 Alloy is an extrusion grade thermoplastic designed for sheet or profile applications requiring high impact resistance. Key features of Suprel 9812 alloy are flame retardance and excellent toughness at both room temperature and low temperatures. Suprel 9812 has good extrusion characteristics including good thermal stability and high gloss. It is particularly well suited for profile extrusion because the combination of low die swell, good melt strength and good melt stiffness allow easy sizing of extruded profiles. Suprel 9812 alloy is available in a full range of colors, or as un-pigmented "natural" for coloring on-line with concentrates. Typical applications include extruded sheet or profiles for use in construction, automotive, recreation, telecommunications or electrical products. Suprel 9812 can be used in exterior, weatherable applications if appropriate pigmentation is included. Information provided by Georgia Gulf Georgia Gulf became Axiall Corporation, which was later acquired by Westlake Plastics. This specific grade is discontinued. |
