Michelman® Michem® Prime 6121 Copolymer dispersion

Material Notes: Michem® Prime functionalized copolymer dispersions deliver the flexibility, water and chemical resistance, and barrier properties of polyethylene in a water-based form. Property enhancements include excellent clarity, adhesion, lower heat seal temperature, durability, and crosslinkability. Usage: Provides outstanding adhesion to both metallic and cellulosic substrates, aids corrosion protection, and enhances the water, grease, oil and solvent resistance of coatings and adhesives. It can serve as a tie coat or primer for extrusion coatings, a foil laminate, a specialty paper coating, a paper sizing agent, a heat sealable coating or a nonwoven binder.

Applications (properties imparted): Die Lubes & Mold Releases (corrosion resistance), Leather (adhesion promotion, chemical resistance, fiber sizing, heat seal).

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Use personal protective equipment as required.
