Material Notes: Description: Polyclear® Preserve PET 2201 is designed to offer exceptional performance in hot-fill and pasteurized container applications. It has a nominal intrinsic viscosity of 0.82 dl/g. Packaging made from Polyclear® Preserve PET 2201 has excellent clarity and is noted for its dimensional stability, which prevents shrinkage and expansion of the container, even after post-fill heat treatment. Polyclear® Preserve PET 2201 is used successfully in heat-set hot-fill bottles for juice, teas, sports drinks, and foods. Polyclear® Preserve PET 2201 is also used successfully in pasteurized bottles for beer, flavored alcoholic beverages, and other carbonated beverages. This polymer complies with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for certain food contact applications. Containers made from Auriga Polymers Inc. PET are lightweight, have excellent clarity, and are shatterproof. With the important advantage of being totally recyclable, PET is becoming the packaging material of choice.
