BASF Palatinol® 79TM-I Tri (heptyl, nonyl) Trimellitate
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Formula: C33H54O6

Description: Palatinol® 79TM-I is a high molecular weight trimellitate ester based upon C7 and C9, predominantly linear alcohols. The linearity of these alcohols imparts improved resistance to volatility loss and better low temperature performance than branch-chain trimellitates such as tri-2-ethylhexyl trimellitate (TOTM). Palatinol 79TM-I is inhibited with 0.1% by weight of 1,1,3-tris (2-methyl-4-hydroxy-5-t-butylphenyl) butane antioxidant. The retention of physical properties of the compounds pass Underwriters Laboratories requirements for 105°C rated cable.

Applications: The excellent combination of permanence, low fogging, low temperature performance and processability, makes Palatinol 79TM-I an ideal plasticizer for vinyl electrical insulation and automotive interior trim
